Advanced Settings for File System Properties
VSuite Ramdisk provides advanced properties for file system, setting up custom folders, volume serial number and NTFS permissions. These settings are useful when users don't want to use Image File but hope to keep some intializations of the ramdisks every time Windows restarts.
To trigger advanced settings dialog box, go to the Ramdisk Tab and click "More" button. After set up the advanced properties, click "Set" button to save the settings.
Custom Folders
Users can set up some custom folders which will be automatically created on a ramdisk when the ramdisk is initialized. Currently the total number of custom folders allowed is 10.
To set up the custom folders, enter the folder name in the edit box and then click the "Add" button. To remove a custom folder from the list, select that folder name and then click the "Remove" button.
Custom Volume Serial Number
Users can assign a custom serial number to the volume of a ramdisk if they want. Generally users don't need to enable this option, however if users have this requirement, it works.
NTFS Permissions for Everyone
When NTFS file sytem is selected for a ramdisk, permissions for "Everyone" are not set by default for security reason. This shall be a problem when you what to share a ramdisk to the network users and allow anonymous users to access the ramdisk.
This option lets you assign access permission to "Everyone" including anonymous user.
