Hi,

I'm having problems enabling IM.

1. Under Options, I checked "Enable OS Invisible Physical Memory"
2. I rebooted.
3. I created a new Ramdisk, checked "Use OS Invisible Memory"
4. The UI says: IM Free / Total: 0 MB / 0 MB

So it appears that I have no IM. How do I fix this?

Other info:
1. I'm using Windows XP 32-bit with 4GB physical RAM, so I expect to see ~900 MB IM.
2. I'm using the Free Edition of Ramdisk.
3. I'm using an Intel G33 chipset, which I believe is newer than the 945.

Yes, G33 shall support memory remapping feature.

could you tell us the model of your CPU?

And is there "Physical Address Extension" displayed on the "System Properties" (Control Panel -> System -> General Tab)

Could you check the BIOS settings to see if there are any items related to the concept "memory remapping"?
Because the names of these items differ on different motherboard providers, i can't specify them.
Or you may tell us the model/type of your motherboard.

It's a FoxConn G33M02, used in Dell PCs.

Only thing which looked like it was Virtualization Technology, and it was already enabled. It's a Phoenix BIOS btw.

the asker's motherboard is also foxconn g33m. it seems that there shall be a item called memory remap in BIOS.

I checked the manual of foxconn g33m motherboad. however the manual is very simple and doesn't draw the detail BIOS settings. I am not sure if there is that item in BIOS.

Thanks to your link, I found more information. It seems that while the G33M02 does support memory remapping, Dell has replaced FoxConn's BIOS with its proprietary one, and this BIOS does not expose the memory remapping feature .

Do you know of any other way of enabling memory remapping? Hopefully without having to flash the BIOS.

perhaps remapping feature is enabled by default...not very sure...
