What are optimal RAMdisk settings?

Greetings Support,
I created a 1-gigabyte RAMdisk image using the "Direct-IO Disk" in hopes of speeding up my Firefox broswer and also for increased performance and security with other programs that allow me to reassign their file cache location. I especially do not want any web-based files saved to my harddrive that may be harmful NOR do I want any other files (pics included) to be retrievable with data recovery apps.
However, the Direct-IO Disk option doesn't seem to work well with the cache files; in that no files are written to the RAMdisk image. In another instance, my Snaggit screen capture software returns an error because the RAMdisk is not recognized by that program. Also, my system also seems to temporarily freeze on occasions when the RAMddisk is set to handles the TEMP environment. That setup does allow files to be written to that environment, though.
I would like to know what other type of RAMdisk that best suits my needs and which setup parameters are appropriate for these specs:
1). OS: Windows 10 64-bit
2). RAM: G.SKILL Trident X Series DDR3 16GB
3). Hard Drive: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD)
4). Mother Board: Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO
5). CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
Below is the settings I used for the Direct-IO Disk RAMdisk:
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
