Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
Re: Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
Hi, it's an USB 3.0 400Mb read, 200Mb write.
That topic refers to a sata driver, I use an USB. However I check I don't have that driver.

Re: Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
The USB stick continues to work 100% even if the cache is paused, it only stop when I cancel the task created.
Re: Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
I update this topic saying that I had tested Primo Cache with two different machines, a desktop with Windows 7 and a laptop with Windows 10, and two different Usb 3.0 pen drive.
I also removed ReadyBoost, ReadyBoot and Prefetch. I made lots of test with different situations with different hard driver settings and Primo Cache settings. I'm pretty sure the ultimate version and the versione before does not work well with USB pens.
When cache hits reach the 80% system start freezing.
Please fix it.

Re: Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
How about if you assign 512MB or 1GB for L1 instead of using L2 only?
Re: Windows 10 freeze with usb caching
It doesn't help. I sent an email with a video of what happens.

Ciakko,
If you haven't already done so, try checking your USB drive using one of the tools mentioned in Raymond.cc: 3 Tools to Check and Test USB Flash Drive just to rule out a faulty stick.
