Hi,

We are testing your solution in a server for Databases purposes, I have a question what are the steps to increase the size of your RAM-Disk without loosing the disk content Data?.

for example lets assume I have a 100GB Ram-Disk being saved to a image file every 5 minutes, and I need to increase the capacity 6 months later to 200GB; How I can do this without loosing any data?

Kind Regards,
Raul Morales

Hi Raul,

When an image file is associated to a ramdisk, it is not easy to change the ramdisk size. You may copy the data from the ramdisk to another place, and then create a new ramdisk with the new size and a new image file, and then copy back the data to this new ramdisk.

@support,

Does this rule still apply with current RAM Disk versions? I'm about to do it myself and wondered if dynamic max-size resizing ever made the feature list.

Cheers.

@Jaga,
I'm sorry for the late reply. We were on public holiday.
We haven't improved this in the 6.1 version. But we'll do it in v6.2.
Thanks.
