Ram-Disk unpartitioned space

Post by charlize »

I created a Ram-Disk unpartitioned space on my ram and it made a file in My computer next to windows So I could run my minecraft saves form it faster. Then I didn't feel like doing it anymore so I installed Ram-Disk and deleted the .img file it created as unallocated space. Am I all good or am I losing 150 mb of ram that I made unallocated?

If you've uninstalled the ramdisk software, then any memory used for ramdisks will be freed up (stopping ramdisks with the ramdisk control panel would do the same thing).

Task Manager's Performance tab reports total memory usage and you should see this rise and fall as you create and delete ramdisks, so comparing your current usage with what you had with the ramdisk active is one way to check.
