What are you trying to accomplish by stopping the WMI service? A lot of device drivers depend on WMI running and if it isn't you can run in to problems. .

Why are you stopping the WMI service?!?
You do know that a lot of the raw performance counters depend on it?
Not to mention quite a few other services.
If you didn't mess around with your DCOM settings, it is pretty safe to let it run as well, else just change it to a static port and add a firewall rule for that.
