Hi,
My OS: XP32 SP3. System memory is 2GB.
3 HD:
Western Digital 250GB: F: (SYSTEM 50GB) + G: (DATAS 1 200GB)
Maxtor 300GB: H: (DATAS 2)
Western Digital 500GB: J: (DATAS 3)
I use Norton Ghost 10.0 since many years.
Main backup of F: and G: 1/week, incremential backups of F: and G: 6/7 days.
Ghost backup first G: and after F:
I use PrimoCache (Beta) 0.9.1 since a few days.
Only the F: (SYSTEM) partition is cached.
The PrimoCache settings are:
Level-1 Cache 384MB
Block Size 4KB
Algorithm LFU-R
Strategy Read/Write
Defer-Write 300s
Flags -
Level-2 Cache Disabled
Storage -
Overhead 56.06MB
*** It seems to work fine. ***
Now, the bug:
PrimoCache status is active.
Ghost start.
The backup of the G: partition is correctly done.
The backup of the F: partition begin and the system restart...
PrimoCache status is paused.
Ghost start.
The backup of the G: partition is correctly done.
The backup of the F: partition is correctly done.
I tried to backup with:
less cache size.
Defer-Write disabled.
Improve read performance configuration instead Custom.
*** No change. Norton Ghost don't works when PrimoCache status is active ***
If you need more information about my computer and/or the system and installed and usually running applications, I'm at your service for any questions.
Best regards.

Re: PrimoCache (Beta) 0.9.1 and Norton Ghost 10.0.
Ok,
It seems to work fine now.
I updated PrimoCache (Beta) to the 0.9.2 version.
I change some settings too:
Level-1 Cache 256MB
Block Size 16KB
Algorithm LRU
Defer-Write 10s

Re: PrimoCache (Beta) 0.9.1 and Norton Ghost 10.0.
Well, thanks for the feedback. But we will still keep attention on this issue as it is a little weird.
Re: PrimoCache (Beta) 0.9.1 and Norton Ghost 10.0.
I'm really sorry about this BSOD problem. We finally find the root cause and now fixed it in version 2.3.0.
Thank you all!
Thank you all!
