Hi
I just upgraded my machine to SSD from classic hard drive,
System Config :
- System : Win 8.1
- Ram : 8 GB
- SSD : Crucial 1024 Go
- Controller : Intel AHCI SATA
P.C. Confing :
- One Single Cache : 2048 Mo Managed Memory
- Partition Cached : System partition + Additional Files Partition
- Profile : Read & Write
- Differed : 10 Sec
- Block Size : 16 KB
i am not sure 100% that PrimoCache is the responsible, i am debugging it to see if P.C. is responsible of it.
Any way the bug is that the system get completely frozen, mouse still work and some opened apps but nothing else, explorer get frozen, it's like i removed my SSD while the system is working.
if you know something about it ... will post later result of my debug.
Thanks

Re: P.C. v1.0.1 - SSD - System Freeze Completely After Some
Anything reported in Windows' Event Viewer? The symptoms do seem like what would happen with a loose data or power cable on a drive.

Hi, I had a look at your post you linked to.
I had some fun and games with the Intel Rapid Storage drivers some while ago, and found I needed a bios update, (Asus P8Z68-V pro). Since going to Windows 8.1 I have not installed any other drivers other than what was installed by Windows 8.1, mainly because like you, it caused me a lot of grief.
Glad it is fixed OK, just be careful when new drivers are released, a bit like Nvidia, they can cause more problems than they fix.
