I can see a few applications of FancyCache in my system. But as it was stated somewhere, it is not good to run the beta version of FancyCache on a production machine. So maybe it's a good idea to run it in a wirutalized guest system, like in VirtualBox (which I use already, so this is my first choice).
So, the question is whether it is (a) safe for the host machine, (b) indicated, ie. can help resolve some problems.
The way I see it... :
(a) It will be safe for the host machine if it uses all "normal" features. Programs that caused VirtualBox to hang did this for example by executing illegal instructions intended to prevent debugging of these programs.
If it causes hanging of the guest machine - it's ok for me...
(b) I think it can help resolve some problems. Virtualized system is more sensitive system than a real system, so it is possible to "catch" early signs of problems.
So, what is your opinion?
