Hi there!
Want to say, my server has 108 GB of memory and a AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950x 16-Core CPU. RAMDISK size is 64 GB. I am using an image for some start content (few text configuration files at Windows startup). Compressed VDF file size is 86 MB. But on Windows startup unpacking process takes over 5 minutes to complete because of single threaded decompressing. Same on shutdown when packing the image.
Please consider these processes to be multithreaded . Thanks!
Multithreaded operation on image load/save
Re: Multithreaded operation on image load/save
Thanks for your suggestion. Generally, we recommend the Flat or the Compact format. The Compressed format is for backward compatibility or simply small images.
