L2 update causes system to slow - almost completely freeze
Re: L2 update causes system to slow - almost completely freeze
My is not freezing, but lagging like hell when L2 cache is full. and my L2 is NVME disk.

Well that's right... I didn't mean freezing.... just "almost" freezing... but a lag that won't let me do anything until it lets go of the L2 cache update.

Did you try altering the blocksize? The default (4KB) would require a larger index whilst a bigger blocksize (say, 64KB) would need less resources and may provide better performance.RobF99 wrote:...on my 32 Gb RAM system I can only allocate 1 Gb of memory to L1 - any higher I get insufficient resources. I was hoping it would be fixed in 3.0.2 but it wasn't...
I've been running with a 6.5GB L1 cache (on 32-bit WinXP) with 64KB blocksize without any problems.

I ran 32KB blocksize on both Disk and L2 nvme.
WHen it full L2, all my online games got lag heavily until I pause the cache.

Yes I have tried all different sizes of blocksize. Tech support are aware of my problem but they can't reproduce it and they don't know a fix for it.InquiringMind wrote:Did you try altering the blocksize? i forgot to write how to represent
1.make l2 cache 14.25gb(block size 16kb or 64kb)
2.assign l2 cache as read only to data drive
3.copy huge files in data drive to system drive by expolorer
p.s total size is 32gb
