Raul,

Before support post a reply, could you please provide details on your hardware (motherboard chipset especially) and clarify whether or not Primo Ramdisk worked previously on that system.

If Primo worked originally, then almost certainly a software or configuration change (including Windows updates) will be the cause - undoing such changes might then provide a quicker fix.

InquiringMind,

Thanks for your Reply, I am currently in contact with Eric by email and your R&D team is trying to help us with a workaround.

The server was working before we put it into production (it was not under load), as soon as we did and it became under load the crashes started.. it seems to be a bug that we didn't detect in our initial tests of the product.

This is a Dell R920 server with 1TB of Ram, and 40 CPU Cores. We are using your product to accelerate our Oracle Database and our Files System, we are getting impressive results regarding speed but these crashes are a big problem, we are hoping to get a solution soon.

RMORALES,

Good to hear support is on the case. I have had BSODs on a Dell system before with Primo, which looked to be a motherboard chipset conflict (Dell tend to use customised versions). Hope your issue is easier to resolve.

I used another computer. :)

The issue I had was likely different, I encountered BSODs as soon as the ramdisk was accessed. I was (and still am) using Windows XP and relying on Primo to access memory above 4GB (how such memory is handled is highly chipset dependent). That system had a modified (cut down) nForce 590 chipset, though another product offering a similar feature did work.

Running on an X58-based motherboard has been completely error-free in contrast, though I doubt I'm putting my ramdisk under the same load you are (pagefile and temporary files).
