Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
Did you enable the "Delay Load" option?
Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
nope
it is a ramdisk for all uses and without image file.

Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
Seems strange...We checked the codes of v5.5.0 and v5.6.0 and don't find anything might be related to this issue. Is it possible that this issue is caused by newly installed or changed other applications? Can you confirm that the issue disappers if you now downgrade to Ultimate v5.5.0? Thanks.
Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
yes i'm totally sure. With ultimate 5.5 that doesn't hapends
Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
ok, i have been testing so deep the bug.
Now i can say the follow: if we download for example a rar file to the ramdisk. Then we extract the rar, that generates a folder. When we want to get into that folder, the system delays a lot to allow us to get into the folder. But, if the folder contains sub folders, the system dont delays. What kind of bug is that ?

Thanks arfgh.
We made a quick test following your steps. Unfortunately we haven't reproduced the issue so far. I'd like to know more details about this issue. Is the issue related to the number of files (not folders) contained in the root folder? For eg. if an rar file only contains one file without sub folders, does the system delay?

Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
no, in that case the system doesnt delays because the file is extracted there.
Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
I'm not sure if I expressed clearly. So you mean that if a rar file generates a folder and there is one (or few) file and no subfolders in the folder, system doesn't delay? In other words, the system delays a lot to get into the folder because there are lot of files inside?arfgh wrote:no, in that case the system doesnt delays because the file is extracted there.

Re: Strange problem 5.6.0 Server
Arfgh:
A delay on first file/folder access could be due to anti-virus software (running a scan on all data it finds and maybe conflicting with Romex's driver). Try configuring your AV to exempt the ramdisk from scans to see if that makes a difference.
