Custom folder - allow subfolders

Post by fryquez »

Dear Romex Software,

Thanks for creating such a great ramdisk with superb features like DMM and hybrid disk:)

I just wanted to create some custom folder and noticed it does not accept the "\" symbol.
I only want 1 folder in the root of my ramdisk and therefor would like to create subfolder, is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Hi fryquez,

Currently it cannot support subfolders without the help of an image file. You may have to associate an image file if you really want to have subfolders.

Alternatively, you may use a batch file to automatically create subfolders every time you start Windows. But this method is not recommended because it creates subfolders at a quite late stage. Some applications may have tried to access subfolders before they are created, thus leading to a failure.

Thanks.

Thank you,

Using an image file seems to be okay, a bit inflexible but it works.
Will also try task scheduler to create folders, and watch if it's early enough for my programs.

Thanks
