Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?
There is absolutely no sense in putting the PrimoCache's disk-file into a RAM-disk. This does A) not advantage the security of your defer-writes, and B) sucking good-lots of ram-space for no performance reason. What you can do instead is: 1. Run PrimoCache on your primary and/or Application-Partiti...

Re: [2013-10-28] PrimoCache beta 0.9.2
It's good to have it fixed finally, don't get me wrong. Well, i still have to say, that I like to see such issue-description in the "Known Issues"-Thread for the past couple of weeks. For informational accuracy you need to do this for any issue that you are able to reproduce and cannot im...

Also, what about price?
As well, what is stopping it from using 2 SSD in raid? Looking around here, I did fine a post saying they did it in a software raid?

Few questions
I just got a new job to be a network admin, but I still help with building computers that will be used for customers. We're building a work station for a 3d designer. His work load requires to load gig size files that he would like to have open up on the spot if he needs to show off his work to othe...

Re: <1% read hit rate with Diablo 3
You meant FC cannot help much in my case and it is working by design? When you run Diablo 3 for the first time since the computer boot up, the D3 data will read from the disk and come to FC cache, as well as Windows cache. Next time D3 requests some data, if they are already in Windows cache, then ...

Re: Instead of caching software, why not make a hybrid setup
Enabling write caching is a no brainer... I always enable it. I've seen plenty of systems corrupted from power outages even w/o write caching. If you system or data is that precious, then you ought to have a UPS. It's not always about the system loseing power, but the system having a hickup... for ...

Re: Best settings - please recommend.
I would change the time from 20 to 10 or even 5 sec for the HDD as it seems you will be having a larg amounts of ram. It will also keep your data a bit more safer. As for the SSD, I would use the amount of time that TRIM will kick it to help out (in that case you will have to test out what times wor...
