Re: Some questions & suggestions...
Welcome to the forums Szucsati - I can't answer all your questions, but can make some suggestions: What is the recommended safe way to use defer-write?...Only on BSOD, and force reset / shutdown would the cache content not be written on the disk. This depends on what you mean by "safe". If...

Re: Primo crashes Windows 8.1
What has that to do with anything???... Are you using Invisible Memory? If so, then it shouldn't take more than a moment to follow the suggestions given. If they make no difference, try running without the pagefile on ramdisk or without invisible memory enabled (if that helps, it will at least allo...

Re: the older Fancy Cache
Welcome to the forums PeterBrazil, Don't bother caching ramdisks as they are already as fast as your memory will allow (your post is unclear so apologies if I'm mistaking it on this). For caching, it is best to identify which disk you use most and cache that (presumably the SSD in your case). For th...

Re: downloaded the free version
Welcome to the forums Deboleena, To run a program from a ramdisk, you either need to install it there (which may require that you uninstall the existing copy first) or modify that program's shortcuts, Start Menu entries and (possibly) configuration files and registry settings to point to the ramdisk...

Re: invisible memory not work the icon is grey
Catfox, If invisible memory was working for you initially, the most likely cause of your problem is installing other software that also uses it (a couple of other ramdisk programs and caching software like PrimoCache) which might conflict. In such a case, it would be best to disable Invisible Memory...

Re: Slow Performance
They are different products but when using a new L1 cache that is large enough to store all current read and write requests, it should be around the same performance... Not necessarily - a cache has higher management overheads (checking whether data is cached and if not whether it should be, possib...

Re: Numbers don't make sense
Acronis is likely using its own driver to access files (so it can copy those locked by other applications or Windows itself) which would bypass PrimoCache's driver. I see a similar thing with Drive Snapshot. Which hardly matters because a full image backup is the last thing anyone should be caching...
