Re: Is PrimoCache compatible with VSS?
With macrium reflect, when you have it create a VBS or powershell script from your backup definition, you can configure it to run a program before and after the backup. I have it pause primocache before and resume it after. Works great. Another thing that can flush your cache is automated virus scan...

Re: Somthing toward a "sticky:" Suggestiion for a configuration discussion for various PC usage patterns
I have a couple of questions : If you had a 12-16GB L1 cache and consistently use the same apps/games, it should populate well and give you a bit more speed. I wouldn't use a 4K Block size in the Cache Task however, stick with 8K or 16K to conserve on RAM usage. Enabling write cache helps even if i...

Re: [2020-12-31] PrimoCache 4.0.1 released!
I had to restore from backup so there was unfortunately no crashdump.
Well the only change was a Microsoft update so, yeah, if the developers can reproduce it...
Do you save L1 cache across boots? I have 4 partitions on different drives I do this for.

Re: [2020-12-31] PrimoCache 4.0.1 released!
I just tried to do the latest Windows 10 cumulative update. (I am on 20H2). When the computer rebooted to finish the install, I got a memory management related crash and the computer started in repair mode. It couldn't do the repair. Luckily I had made a image backup immediately prior to the update ...

Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!
Hi, It has been about 1 year now since a beta 4.0.0 was promised. We are still just at an alpha. When are we going to see a new official release? Will a new version be compatible with Windows 10 security Device Memory Integrity? Or does that have a performance impact that would defeat the purpose of...
