Re: 2gb+ L2 Cache Corruption?

While separating the drives into their own cache task and partitioning the L2 storage medium I came upon another oddity while formatting them for use as L2. ALl 3 partitioned just fine with their own respective drive letters prior. 1st partition was made successfully of 1526mb, L2Formatted, and assi...

[Resolved] 2gb+ L2 Cache Corruption?

I have just recently started using L2 Cache to augment the overall caching routine. Currently I have 2 drives under a single cache being a 4gb Boot Drive (Compact Flash over Sata) and a 320gb storage drive over Sata. The L2 Cache consists of a 4gb Physical Ramdisk with known working ram over the Sat...

Re: PrimoCache and TRIM command.

Originally I had misread and missed the mention of L2 Trim in the OP and was assuming in the case of deferred write trimming. Couple with the fact it was confirmed a few posts back that Primocache currently does not emulate the trim command in its' write caching is why I felt my reply relevant. Ther...

Re: PrimoCache and TRIM command.

Something like this would be a very welcomed addition. Currently for TRIM support the following requirements must be met: 1) Host OS Support of TRIM 2) The drive being cached must be NTFS 3) Drive mode must be AHCI 4) The drive must support the TRIM capability. In a large number of cases this will n...

Re: No personal license for Server version?

Resurrecting my old topic a bit but curious now: Being as there isn't any option for a personal license currently... will there / ever / be an option for a personal license for server versions at all even if it were a slight bit more expensive than the desktop version without resorting to a business...

Re: Development stopped?

To provide piece of mind if you feel this is occurring - you could set the write commits to run as part of the shutdown script routines. Can add it through scripts in GPEdit.msc (the group policy editor) so upon either logout or shutdown the system will commit all writes before continuing further. I...

Re: No personal license for Server version?

Thanks for the welcome :) That's quite the shame really... It would be nice if there would at least be specific exceptions made for users running server versions of windows under a desktop environment. If one would have to prove the such I could provide remote access as needed for them to see it as ...

Re: Bring back averaged write option

Thought I would bring up that the aforementioned alternative has been working quite well thus far. I couldn't find the small application called 'whileidle' that was made years ago by someone on the bitcoin miners forum as the 'resource' is gone from dropbox and would have worked best as a background...

Re: Bring back averaged write option

This option would be greatly loved as even in gaming and other intensive things dumping everything at once can cause a rather large stall on disks without the fastest write speeds. EVen incrimental small writes during activity would be an idea even with the incremental chunk sizes committed to be co...
