I've tried the same on a different laptop (Windows 7 64 Enterprise, 16GRB RAM) and I get exactly the same behaviour. So it seems this error is kind of reproducable. I hope, Romex is interested to solve this issue.

The error message is exactly this: "Failed to start cache! This is usually caused to insufficient system resources. You may choose a larger value for the block size and then try again." I tried it with a Safe boot initiated by msconfig but apart from having even more zeroed RAM, nothing ch...

Yes, swapfile is switched on - 16GB should be more than I ever need.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, it's Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I wonder if there is a way to determine, what "zeroes" all this memory? In the ordinary resource monitor there is nothing interesting to see.

As mentioned, this doesn't help, even when going up to 512KB. Still the same error message. Only when using no more than 2048 MB of RAM, it works.
