The same thing happens with Norton 2012 (NAV and NIS). The moment I delete a large amount of files, the process is too slow. I turn off the cache (both FancyCache as RST) and everything works normally. Solution: I am using kaspersky (But Norton is much faster in other settings that do not use cache)...
