Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

Thanks all for the discussion. I hope everyone can just discuss without talking personality. Whoever thought people could get so passionate over ramdisk software and setup? :D I like to continue to talk with you later InquiringMind ^^Maybe we can beat support to some real world test. Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

Already said that... waste of line of text xD (btw, these are the comments that make what you say less trusting to read =/ Please read 100%... At this point, I'm going to have to assume that English isn't your first language since you are contradicting yourself. Specifically: You state that a UPS i...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

you are actually loading the program two times. Once from the image of the ramdisk at startup and once again when you run the program. The time you run the program, it'll be really fast because it's in the ramdisk now. Thats wrong. I only load the program one single times from disk. Exactly at the ...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

See above (last page). I showed in detail that 1-5 are no issue and not affecting me in any ways, same for most of the users. YOu didn't even showed how 1-5 is practically affecting anything. WHat you claimed to be argue 1-5 is just blahblah. Anything can be bla bla bla if you don't put two and two...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

I am open to all thoughts and arguments. I think everyone opinions count, but I guess you don't see it that way ^^ Then why do you bash and not answering or arguing the important points. YOu simply miss them out everytime. I did xD I said I have them load up once, but because I leave my computer ru...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

1) "block-caching-layer into RAM, while PrimoRAM_Disk puts a logical-disk into RAM" Please See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAM_drive 2.) PrimoCache takes a relative amount of time to start as does PrimoRAM-Disk. None takes longer each because the other one running. In fact you have the t...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

TDR: 1) Resaying what I already said in my posts. As for needing a UPS, that wouldn't protect from driver crashes and BSODs - backups (both regular full disk images and more frequent copies of critical files) should be seen as necessary - whatever Primo software/configuration is used. 9) Ohh... and ...

Re: Primo Cache's cache on a RAMdisk?

Thats wrong. It is not a waste of RAM just to have both. You missed th ehole point what it is about totally. Since PrimoCache cannot differ between files, it is a block-caching-software, it cannot cache the explicit things you want. PrimoRAMDisk on the other hand loads explicit files into RAM, then...
