Cannot run executables as administrator from Direct-IO disk
When I right click any EXE file contained on my RAM disk (Direct-IO, dynamic memory, compact mode), and select "Run as administrator", I get the error "Incorrect function". This affects application installers that extract setup files to a temporary folder and then try to run them...

Re: Automatic allocation and deallocation of L1 cache
...So, I need low priority caching to make way for high priority applications! It's not rocket science, guys! Windows' built-in file cache does this pretty well, which suggests that your best option would be to remove PrimoCache. If Windows' file cache worked so well then I'm sure I'd be able to ca...

Re: Automatic allocation and deallocation of L1 cache
I don't get why people keep bringing up pagefiles in this discussion. Yes, I want it to use all available memory and no, I don't want to manually disable the cache if I want to use a memory-hungry application. My pagefile is 300MB, which is the minimum required for a kernel minidump. I only use phys...

Re: Automatic allocation and deallocation of L1 cache
I can't speak for Romex but I think the idea by itself is correct. However, the default setting of the Windows page file is to dynamically grow and shrink. If Primo constantly allocates and releases RAM, it might be that Windows responds by constantly adjusting the size of the page file. Especially...

Automatic allocation and deallocation of L1 cache
Hi, I've been using Primo Ramdisk for a long time now (since it was called VSuite), and I'm absolutely loving it. I remember suggesting TRIM-style dynamic deallocation for it, which was implemented a year later and still works beautifully. So I'm trying out PrimoCache to see if it will be interestin...

Re: [2012-02-04] Primo Ramdisk 5.3.0 available
Still no Server edition? The Ultimate edition doesn't install on Windows Server 2008 R2 (I have a VSuite Server licence)

Re: Registration key query
As most RAM disk vendors offer little more than a jazzed-up version of the Microsoft DDK sample RAM disk code anyone can compile, I think it's fairly obvious VSuite/Primo stand out above the competition with head and shoulders. If you don't want to give them your money, fine; but you'll be hard pres...

Re: What block the Primo Pro release?
What's the planned release date for Primo Server? I am on VSuite Server, and Adobe Audition fills up my 24GB RAM very quickly when recording and processing audio. After quitting Audition, the memory is not released because VSuite does not support dynamic deallocation. I also cannot install Primo Pro...

Re: Suggestion: TRIM
well, the dynamic release feature has been implemented in the new version. This version is now under testing and will be released soon. The feature you requested here might not be easily implemented, because when doing "reinitialize", the program can't eactly know what files are needed to...
