Merging PrimoCache and Primo Ramdisk
I was just thinking that if the two programs were merged it might incite some more purchases and provide more value for customers.

Re: Best settings for cache?
Re-installed and activated a week ago. Set my L1 cache to 32GB, Block size 4KB, Enable Defer-Write to INFINITE latency, no Prefetch/etc.
I have not suffered any problems as before. I suspect my issues were to other hardware failing (which I removed).
Primocache seems to be stable as a rock.

Re: Best settings for cache?
Nope, I don't have any other drive acceleration running. I am using a WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD with the WD dashboard and it has Trim and Write-Cache enabled by default. After using INFINITE as a setting for the Defer-Write for a while I suddenly experienced programs freezing and causing mayhem with my...

Re: Best settings for cache?
Ok, I tried Prefetch and it crashed my PrimoCache UI completely. I couldn't load it up or access it in any way. I had to uninstall and re-install PrimoCache to get it working again. Not recommended.

Re: Best settings for cache?
Thanks for your input InquiringMind. Would an infinite Defer-Write latency be the optimal setting?

Re: Best settings for cache?
If you are certain your machine is rock solid stable, you can change deferred write times to ~10 minutes, and then block size to the same as your volume's cluster size (typically 4K on a SSD/NVMe). Thanks, I will try that. If anyone else has any other suggestions which might speed things up please ...

Re: Best settings for cache?
Shared read/write space (not separate), deferred writes (~10 seconds, possibly 30 if your laptop is stable), 8K or 16K block size (a blend of performance and lower overhead), Pre-fetch at boot (if your C: drive is a SSD). Thanks, but I am looking for the ultimate performance settings, no holds barr...

Best settings for cache?
Hi, I have 64GB of RAM on my Laptop, 32GB of which I have allocated to PrimoCache. I am not using L2 (SSD,HDD) at all, just L1 (Pure RAM). What would be the best settings I could use to get the most out of the program?

Re: Can't get writing caching to work.
Well that makes sense mecky but why does it give the ability to set Read and Write percentage without enabling the "Enable Defer-Write" setting? Why are those two seperate?
