Re: L2 flush after dirty shutdown?
I meant to type "will Primocache commit dirty pages to disk" or does it discard them? I've been playing with a trial of Intel CAS and I've confirmed that it will urgently commit dirty pages to disk when the machine comes back online.

Re: PrimoCache, Hyper-V, ReFS, Dedupe, Storage Spaces, and Optane!
Good catch! I have file integrity streams turned off for now.

L2 flush after dirty shutdown?
If the system loses power or crashes, will Primocache flush dirty L2 content on the next restart? If not, what does it do with these blocks?

Re: PrimoCache, Hyper-V, ReFS, Dedupe, Storage Spaces, and Optane!
I tried the opposite (L1 as read only and L2 as write only) and it didn't work well at all. I wanted the Optane to be used as a "landing zone" for incoming writes but the physical disk activity was high and the disk queue length was long. What worked better was setting L1 cache to zero and...

PrimoCache, Hyper-V, ReFS, Dedupe, Storage Spaces, and Optane!
I have a corner-case here. ReFS filesystem Storage Spaces mirror (4x HDD - 5TB total) 800p Optane (58GB) as L2 cache ReFS Deduplication turned on. Hyper-V workload 64GB RAM How would you configure PrimoCache assuming an "I/O blender" workload of different VM's performing many different kin...

Re: primocache 2.45% hitrate
I'm seeing the same thing. VMware Workstation 15 seems to be performing disk I/O in a manner that completely bypasses Primocache. All other apps on my system are being cached just fine but VM disk I/O doesn't show up in the Primocache stats window.
Edit: I didn't grammar correctly the first time.
