Re: Somthing toward a "sticky:" Suggestiion for a configuration discussion for various PC usage patterns
What advantages would bring turning off Windows Fast Start? I see it as an option to PrimoCache Options.

Re: PrimoCache 4.3.0 - BypassIO
I have an UPS for my desktop so I am not worried about power loss either. I put it back to write-defer, at 10 seconds. I have 64GB RAM in the system, so I can be more generous with my RAM allocation - 8GB plus 1GB overhead... You could allocate more memory for writes than reads and extend the life o...

Re: Which controller should the cache SSD be on? Mobo or RAID card?
Should I connect the 500GB SATA SSD to the RAID card or the motherboard? I mean which port? Both are 6Gbps capable. But my concern is that if I connect the Primocache SSD to the RAID array's free port, won't the RAID card's own cache come in play first? So what's wrong with that? The 2GB of RAM on ...

Re: PrimoCache 4.3.0 - BypassIO
If a logical volume is cached by PrimoCache with defer-write enabled, bypassIO requests to that volume will be blocked by PrimoCache. That makes sense, and I saw that disabling the defer-write in PrimoCache, indeed seems to pass the compatibility. Only to be locked by other drivers... For iaStorE.s...

Re: The Acceleration Experience of the Cooperation with Intel Optane Memory and PrimoCache
Attached are the tests.
Note that for the RAM cache test (L1), I enabled Defer-Write.

Re: The Acceleration Experience of the Cooperation with Intel Optane Memory and PrimoCache
I have in my system both a nvme drive (PCIe 3.0 motherboard) and a 64GB Optane memory.
I use the Optane drive with PrimoCache as L2 for my HDD. Would it be beneficial to use some of it as L2 cache for the nvme drive?
I am using as L1 cache some of my RAM... for both nvme and HDD.

Re: [2023-04-07] PrimoCache 4.3.0 for Win10/11 released!
Interesting is that my 4.2.0 wasn't giving me any update notifications, even after manually checking.
I installed the 4.3.0 from the link.
