I just had a quick look 1GB SSDs are now 30$...
Thats the same price as Primocache.
I'm guessing sales volumes reflect this fact?
Need I say more..?

Re: New product suggestion: PrimoNetworkCache (cache network files)
What happens if you map a network drive in Explorer and then set the mapped drive to be cached?

Re: GpuRamDrive: GPU VRAM as RAMdisk: Game changer!?
No matter what they allow, standard RAM is faster, cheaper. With PCIe 5.0 x16 you can have theoretical 64GB/s. But compared to standard RAM, it would still have much higher latency due to PCIe BUS. Please do not waste time where it's not needed.... In 2021 around 49.15 million graphics cards were s...

Re: GpuRamDrive: GPU VRAM as RAMdisk: Game changer!?
Personally, I think this request is a waste of resources. If you have a GPU with lots of RAM (means: an expensive one), you either use it or not. If you use it, Primocache can't. If you don't use it: sell it and buy RAM from the money you get for it - PrimoCache can then use that RAM. What absolute...

Re: Possible to add DVD/CD cache feature to Primocache
This may work. (if installed in Win 7 compatibility mode..? Untested)
https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/dtime.html
Once the CD is cached to disk, Primocache should take over and further accelerate it.

BPLRU algorithm & source code: +80% throughput. -50% erase count
Hello Support . Plz pass this on to your dev. I think/hope he will find the research interesting and useful. (if he hasn't already seen it) The research paper for a much improved write caching algorithm vs LRU (LFU?): https://www.usenix.org/legacy/events/fast08/tech/full_papers/kim/kim_html/index.ht...

Re: The Acceleration Experience of the Cooperation with Intel Optane Memory and PrimoCache
As far as I remember, at that time the in-box MS nvme driver were used, which is default for most users. Yes it is the "default for most users". Most users are... uninformed (to put it mildly) and think SSD caching is crap! :) Not so the forum users here..! 64% of Windows I/O is Low Que D...

Re: The Acceleration Experience of the Cooperation with Intel Optane Memory and PrimoCache
What driver was used for the writeup? The stock MS driver?? I ask because I know real Intel Optane driver is 'hidden' in Intel v17 platform RST drivers, with an 'incompatible' .inf file, even for Intel systems! The 'proper' mod+signed driver/s from Win-Raid.com give you an extra 92MB/s in Random 4K ...

Re: Enlightening findings on file compression and PrimoCache
Yes, the column with Windows Read Cache are the Windows cache results. So compare 867 with 1121, and it is 23% less. After more experimenting the reason the systems became corrupted were that a few apparently critical files most likely appeared corrupted to Windows while they were not corrupted jus...
