Re: reset after crash
Well my machine is having issues because of a game called Anthem which only EA can fix. If this reset behavior is by design then that design has a flawed logic. If you pause the cache and reset the machine the cache will still break. If you change files while caching is paused primocache will still ...

reset after crash
I am having trouble keeping me read cache 'alive'. I am using 120GB of a 500 GB SSD to cache 3 GB of data. It works except that it regulary resets. Just now I was up to 64GB of used read cache. I had a black screen (not sure why), reset my pc and the cache was back to 0. AFAIK my files should not be...

Re: What triggers L2 cache flush?
Ok thanks for clarifying. But then how can I verify the write cache is actually working?
Regarding L2, not about the shutdown. Will keep an eye on it.

What triggers L2 cache flush?
I noticed that today my cache hit rate is only 32%. Closer inspection showed that 98 GB of L2 cache is free, the L2 partition is 115 GB. Since I use 10% for write cache this means almost no data is in the L2 cache. The write cache is only 32 MB free. So it appears the write cache is not emptying its...

Re: L2 deferred writing doesn't seem to work on 3.x
Thanks I changed it to 5%=10GB of write cache and then it worked. SSD is now doing 300 MB/s during file allocation .
Can I also do this without needing the 1GB of level1 cache?

L2 deferred writing doesn't seem to work on 3.x
Hi there. I used to run 2x HDD in raid for ' faster' gaming. I have now moved to Primocache in the following logic: OS: 250 GB NVME SSD SSD: 300GB data/ 200 GB primocache L2 HDD: 1500 GB games (cached) / 1500 GB data Now I noticed that when installing games I run into the HDD speed cap instead of my...

Re: L2 caching broke after Windows Update - how often does this happen
Hmm I am not caching my OS drive though...points wrote:As far as I know Windows update is constantly breaking the cache. This seems to be a Windows 10 issue and might be due to the fact that an update is in fact a new install. Therfor the cache does not work anymore and has to be redone.

Re: L2 cache no longer working
I had a similar issue today. My caching task was renamed to a similar schema and the L2 cache, although reported correctly in Primo L2 manager, was unavailable. Had to basically reset the entire thing. I thought it was caused by the fall creators update, could also have been the reboot...

L2 caching broke after Windows Update - how often does this happen
Yesterday I started using Primo Cache as Level 2 cache. This was working as intended, I was caching e:/ (2x raid 0 hdd) to an 120 GB SSD. However yesterday evening I received a larger windows update (fall creators update) and the cache was listed as inactive. -I was unable to resume the cache, only ...
