Re: [2017-12-04] PrimoCache 3.0.1 released!
There's still 2.7.3 on the download page. Is there something I need to do to access download of 3.0.1?

Should it check what is the hardware change exactly and act according to that information? Changing RAM will never have an effect on the Cache "dirtiness".

PROBLEM WITH L2 CACHE FLUSH:
I just upgraded from 8 GB to 16 GB. When I rebooted the system was awfully slow compared to what it was before. Apparently, the L2 CACHE had been flushed. Why is that? Why flush the L2 CACHE when memory configuration change?

I've been using PrimoCache 3.0 Beta for a month now. No issue. No crash. Speed is as expected, compared to 2.x.

Re: PrimoCache testing
Still testing PrimoCache (3.0 Beta) and it's really really really good. Speed is so much better. I can't imagine going back to work on my laptop without it.
People that say it's only for benchmark do not understand how it works.

Re: Volume detach itself from a Cache Task
Actually Windows did update. I got the latest Insiders Preview build. And now that I think about it, it was the case the last time it happened too. You would probably need to tag sectors that are part of windows if you want to be able to reuse the cache after a major update. Or, can you produce a lo...

Re: PrimoCache testing
À thousand Canadian, which equals roughly to 750$ us. So I think I got a pretty good deal. And my goal is not to throw money to get the best of the best. If that was the case, I wouldn't bother and put in 3000$. My goal was to get the best overall laptop for the money and stay affordable. And PrimoC...

PrimoCache testing
I just brought an entry level gaming laptop. For a thousand I get a pretty good CPU, standard 8 GB RAM, a good GPU but....... A 1 TB slow as hell HDD. It made the laptop very sluggish. It comes with a M.2 expansion slot so I bought a 128 GB NVME flash drive. My quest for a good cache software began....
