Re: Prefetch Last Cache, how it works?
It only saves index information, not real data. No L2 is required. But what happens when I boot the computer? Will primocache start to use that index from the SSD to load the content in the RAM? Will primocache wait to the content to be naturally read by demand and then since it was in the index it...

Re: GpuRamDrive: GPU VRAM as RAMdisk: Game changer!?
Is there any news about this?
It should be possible, this software does what Primo RAMDISK does but with the VRAM, It would be nice to have this feature included as another L1 cache in PrimoCache

Prefetch Last Cache, how it works?
This is the definition Prefetch Last Cache: If this option is checked, PrimoCache will automatically load the last cached data into the L1 cache after the computer restarts, thereby improving the speed of the first data read. This option has no effect on the L2 cache, because the L2 cache is persist...

It's like prioritize the apps or folders you want.
And another option to exclude folders/apps

Re: cache replacement policy
I don't think so, right now I'm doing a synchronization (mirror backup) to amazon cloud and my l2 cache is being filled constantly at the same pace files are being synced. I'm not doing anything else in the pc. Links of interest https://github.com/alexanderGugel/arc https://github.com/ben-manes/caff...

Re: Need help with settings please
Use only 1 L1 cache of 60 GB or whatever you want for both the HD and SSD. This would be the most effective.
Probably you won't fill it easily.
For OS backups (image) try macrium reflect is quite easy to use and it has a free version.

Re: Caching strategy
The idea of reducing the pagefile (I have it in auto and it requires 19 GB, the value recommended by windows is around 2-3 GB) is in general or only because I'm using primocache?

Re: Caching strategy
Welcome to the forums l0rdraiden, If you have games or applications installed on your HDD, then it would certainly make good sense to cache that - but the ideal would be to have them installed on SSD and keep the HDD for non-speed critical data (downloads, media files and backups of your SSDs). So ...

I have 1 SSD of 120 GB 1 SSD of 250 GB (OS) 1 HD of 2 TB 16 GB RAM (Almost always 5-6 GB unused even gaming) What is the best config? If I use the 120 GB SSD as a L2 cache of the Hard disk and then 6 GB of ram as L1 cache of the 250GB SSD is fine? Does it make sense to add the HD to the L1 cache or ...
